Paul Gascoigne is one of the most recognisable football players in the world also named the most naturally talented midfielder of his generation. Affectionately known as Gazza, he was best known for his flair, talent and great goals. A hardworking attacking midfielder was praised by some of the most well known managers in the game. Outside of football Gazza has published 3 autobiographies, a successful documentary and recorded the 1990 pop hit Fog on the Tyne with Lindisfarne. As well as appearing 57 times for England, Paul has received many football honours including PFA Young player of the year 1988, BBC Sports personality of the year 1990, 4th place Ballon D’Or 1990, SFWA Footballer of the Year 1996.
